Items are 'in stock' if shown on the website. If you cannot the quantity you require to the cart, it means the stock level is below this.  Items such as fabrics and wallpapers are usually in excellent stock with our suppliers and we will contact you upon your order to confirm your stock allocation.

We have a wide range of products and shipping times.  Products in stock at Max Buston will be
dispatched within 1-3 working days.  Standard delivery is 2-5 days and Express delivery is 1-3 days.

Many items are large (furniture) or cut to order (fabrics) and the shipping expectation is given on each product page.  Our fabrics and wallpapers are shipped directly from our suppliers in the USA and Europe.

Yes, you can purchase samples of our fabrics and wallpapers.  They cost £3 each and shipping for sample orders is £2.  It is a very good idea to purchase a sample before ordering a fabric or wallpaper as colours vary from screens.  Samples come in various sizes, usually between 10x10cm to 20x20cm.

It normally takes 8-9 weeks from order.  However, there are several factors that affect the delivery of curtains. Firstly, the fabric choice, if stocked in Europe or the USA.  Curtain fabrics from the USA can take an additional 2-3 weeks.  Secondly, whether the measurements given to us are final measurements.  Once you place your order, we will be in touch to confirm all of the details about your curtains before they enter production.

All of our curtains are lined and interlined as standard with a warm and comforting medium weight interlining.  This allows are curtains to feel cosy.  The lining colour is a soft ivory. 

You can also choose not to have any lining, this is usually an option where you want to use multiple layers of curtains such as sheers for privacy.

You can also choose to have the curtains blackout lined.  This will make the curtains impermeable to light.  However, please remember that the overall design of your curtain project will affect the blackout, as light can seep around the sides or top of the curtain.  Feel free to ask us about solutions to this, which include lathe & fascia, pelmets or blackout blinds. Our curtains are handmade in the United Kingdom by specialist makers.  They take great care with your fabric and the making of every curtain, including the heading choice.  Also, we always allow some fabric to wrap around the back of the curtain in the leading edge.  This means when you draw your curtains you will always be holding the main fabric and not the lining which is out of sight!

When you order your curtains, we will be in touch with you to discuss your preferences.  The break is how much curtains sit or pool on the floor.  We normally recommend a small break of 3-5cm which allows the curtains to drape elegantly.  The total finished length will include any break, so we will double check with you whether you have included a break or not upon your order.

Yes, almost all of our fabrics can be made into Roman blinds.  They are all handmade in 7-8 weeks.  Please get in touch for a bespoke quote.

We have a wide range of poles and fittings.  We pride ourselves in handmade poles with an exquisite range of finishes.  We also provide tracks and custom solutions for difficult windows.  Just get in touch at shop@maxbuston.com

Yes, we can work with any window.These are usually more complex and we can help you find the best solution for your home.

Currently we can provide installation for poles and curtains
within 10 miles of our Richmond showroom in Surrey.  If you are outside this area we recommend you find a curtain fitter near you who can help with installation and provide you with final measurements so that you can order your curtains. For further help, please email shop@maxbuston.com

It depends on the item in question.  Samples are normally within 5 days, small items 2-5 days, large items 5-14 days, handmade curtains are usually 8-9 weeks, but can take longer.  Please refer to each product page for an anticipated shipping date.

We will send you a tracking link for your order once it has been dispatched.  For bespoke orders we will be in touch at each step from order to delivery and installation.

Yes we do, and prices to Europe, the USA and Canada will be displayed in your checkout.  Please note that any customs and duty charges may be due upon receipt of your goods.  Please get in touch if you have any questions about international shipping at shop@maxbuston.com.  For countries not listed, we can arrange a bespoke quote in some instances.
